Updates - First World War Campaigns

** Note ** Updates can only be applied to a 4.04 version Clean Install. If you did that when 4.04 was released in June of 2024 then you can proceed with the update below.

If not, then you must uninstall your existing copy then download a new installer from your Store Account in order to do a fresh installation. This will then have you on the latest version and no further patching is required.

All updates include all game and documentation changes in a single update. Each update is a self-extracting executable which you should run after downloading. You will be prompted for the folder you installed the original game in - it is important to validate you are installing the patch where the game is installed.

Updates are inclusive so that you only have to install the latest update to ensure that your copy of the game is up to the most recent version. If your copy of the game was at the most recent version when you purchased it, then you don't have to install the corresponding update: You already have the latest files. You can check to see what version of the game you are running by selecting the About option under the Help Menu. The Changelog lists all the included updates, features and fixes in the patch.

Updating Games in Progress

Important: We recommend completing any games currently in progress before installing a new game update.

Updates may include changes to game files, scenarios, data, or the game engine that can affect compatibility with existing saved games or ongoing PBEM matches. While many updates will not cause problems, continuing a game started under an earlier version may occasionally produce unexpected results.

For the safest experience, finish ongoing games before updating, particularly PBEM and multiplayer matches.
