'25 Winter Sale Live

As the year winds down and winter closes in, our prices are heading south – the WDS Winter Sale is back, and every game in our catalog that has been out longer than 12 months is going on sale.

Additionally, there are several things we want to convey to you. Here are the items we will be covering today:

  1. Specifics about the sale.
  2. Store and shopping cart enhancements (a quick reminder).
  3. Suspension of the specific Game of the Week posts during the sale window.

We’ll try to keep this brief, but we want to communicate a variety of things… so let’s jump in.

1. Specifics about the sale

As the banner above notes, this Winter Sale runs from December 12th until the evening of January 4th, 2026. While we are a global company, I (Rich) am based in Virginia, USA – so all times are relative to my time zone (EST). I will begin to shut the sale down at about 10 PM on the night of the 4th. I do watch the traffic and won’t shut things down if I see active shopping carts… but please don’t wait till the last minute. :-)

As in our recent sales, all games that have been out longer than 12 months are reduced by 25%, and our usual bulk discount for orders over $199 USD remains in effect. In practice, that means:

  • All eligible titles are reduced to $29.95 in the cart (a 25% reduction).
  • Our automatic 20% discount for orders over $199 is still in place. So, you can potentially see a combined 40% discount off normal pricing if you buy in bulk.
All other discounts and promotions will be paused during this time period.
We only have four games that do not have their price reduced this round – these are the titles released during 2025:
  • Musket & Pike: War of the Austrian Succession
  • Crusades: Book I
  • Panzer Campaigns: Poland ’39
  • Age of Longbow Volume I: Hundred Years War
Every other title in the catalog that has been out for more than 12 months will be included in the Winter Sale lineup this year.
Note: You must order all 7+ games in a Single Order for the store to apply the bulk discount automatically. It is not meant to be cumulative over multiple orders during the sale window. Also, it is only meant for a single customers order. We will not split games out of a bulk order and move them to individual accounts.

2. Store and shopping cart enhancements (reminder)

We also want to remind you about the Store features we introduced previously to help avoid accidental duplicate purchases. In order for these to function properly you need to log in to your Store Account before making any purchases. We suggest you do this upon every visit really, as that is what enables you to access your previously ordered games.
Those changes are:
When looking at your cart before you check out, new text will appear if you already have a copy of that game in your Store Account. You can then remove that item from your cart before checkout.
On the individual product pages there will be a red banner if a copy of that game exists in your Store Account records.

Please look out for these notices to avoid making duplicate purchases – as these can only be resolved by contacting Support at Helpdesk@wargameds.com.

3. Game of the Week during the sale

Finally, and just to be clear, since almost every title in our store will be on sale, we will not be having specific “Game of the Week” posts or mailings during the sale window. That program will resume on Monday, January 5th, 2026.
To begin shopping, you can use the links at the top of the page to explore by Collection (Series) or browse All Products. At this point, we offer well over 100 titles across 12 different series, so there should be something to tempt every corner of your historical interests.
Ok, that brings us to the end of our sale/store-specific news. As always, if you have any questions, please direct them to Helpdesk@wargameds.com, and we will get them answered.
Enjoy the sale!

Already 50+ of your games in my library, so I am starting to be in lack of choice, now.

    Happy sales, everyone !
