Civil War Battles 4.05.5 Updates, Part I

Today we are bringing you five games from the Civil War Battles series, migrating to the newest 4.05.5 version. Campaign Vicksburg was the first back on August 11th when it was highlighted as our Game of the Week.

The five titles we are updating today are:

  • Campaign Antietam
  • Campaign Chancellorsville
  • Campaign Gettysburg
  • Campaign Peninsula
  • Civil War Battles Demo

The primary driver in this update cycle is a fix for the program not including the melee phase in PBEM Replay files. We've had the fix in testing for a few months now and we're reasonably certain no other major problems exist - so we are pushing forward with the update process. The Balance of the series will be updated over the next few weeks.

**Note: It is safe to apply these updates to ongoing games.

Here's the changelog so you can see what's new:

As you can see this is primarily a "maintenance" release, fixing odds and ends that creep up through either customer reports to the Help Desk or legacy problems identified as we continue development across the various series.

As always, if you do find problems while you play a game you are welcome to submit them to Helpdesk@wargameds.com and we'll investigate. There are a variety of small scenario adjustments, map tweaks and so forth that will also be included for the various games over this update cycle that have been reported by the community.

New full installers for each of these games are in your Store Account, or you can grab the updates off the Civil War Battles Support Page. Note: you have to have at least version 4.05.3 installed to be able to use these updates. Otherwise you'll need to uninstall and then do a new full install of the game.

Here's a few screen shots from the various games, if by chance you don't own them all:

And that's a wrap for today. Again, new full installers for each of these games are in your Store Account, or you can grab the updates off the Civil War Battles Support Page. Note: you have to have at least version 4.05.3 installed to be able to use these updates. Otherwise you'll need to uninstall and then do a new full install of the game.

If you would like to talk about these updates, or anything related to the Civil War Battles series of games head over to our dedicated forum section for that games.
