Game of the Week, March 3 - 9
New week, new sale title... In the spotlight this week is Campaign Jena-Auerstedt from the Napoleonic Battles series of games. This title will be on sale at 25% off until Sunday, March 9th.
The War of the Fourth Coalition was a war spanning 1806–1807 that saw a multinational coalition fight against Napoleon's French Empire, subsequently being defeated. The main coalition partners were Prussia and Russia with Saxony, Sweden, and Great Britain also contributing. Excluding Prussia, some members of the coalition had previously been fighting France as part of the Third Coalition, and there was no intervening period of general peace. On 9 October 1806, Prussia declared war on France and joined a renewed coalition, fearing the rise in French power after the defeat of Austria and establishment of the French-sponsored Confederation of the Rhine. Prussia and Russia mobilized for a fresh campaign with France, massing troops in Saxony.
Napoleon took to the field against the Kingdom of Prussia, a saber-rattling Queen, and several proud generals still clinging to a past of glory under Frederick the Great. In less than two weeks of campaigning, the French became masters of Prussia and Eastern Germany. Can you repeat the historical performance of Napoleon and his army or, as the Prussians, will you inflict a stinging defeat upon the French?

Another in the excellent Napoleonic series. It would be a quick buy if it were not already part of my game library. Good suggestions on reading here, Campaigns of Napoleon being a must read and I am going to check out The Triumph of the Eagle as well.
