Why Am I Seeing a Windows Security Warning After Updating?

Some users may notice a Windows SmartScreen or antivirus warning when launching a recently updated Wargame Design Studio title, similar to the one below

This is expected and does not indicate that the game is unsafe.

We have recently begun signing our applications with a new digital code-signing certificate. While this certificate confirms that the software is authentic and has not been modified, Windows SmartScreen also builds a reputation for newly signed applications over time. Until enough users have downloaded and run the updated executables, Windows may display additional security prompts.

Our installers and game executables are genuine, have been digitally signed by Wargame Design Studio, and are safe to use.

What should I do if Windows displays a warning?

If Windows SmartScreen displays a warning when you launch one of the newly updated games, click More info, if available and then select Run anyway.

As more players install and run the updated games, Microsoft's reputation system will recognize the new certificate and these warnings should gradually disappear.

Thank you for your patience while the new certificate establishes its reputation.
